High school homecoming season is right around the corner, which means... here come the mums! Are you ready? This year, arm yourself with all the skills to help your kids make their own homecoming mums or garters by joining Lindsay's Art Cart, in partnership with the Arlington Museum of Art, at this fun-tastic mini mum-making workshop.
You'll learn about all the elements of a homecoming mum plus how to successfully wield a glue gun, braid ribbon, and assemble a super-cute wrist-sized mum that makes a perfect gift for your high school student or his/her little sister.
Included in the cost of this workshop are all material costs, 2 glasses of wine or sparkling cider, light bites, AND access to the AMA's wildly popular current exhibition, Keith Haring: Against All Odds (a $10 value). Wow!
This workshop is brought to you in part by the AMA Artist in Residence Program. The AMA’s first-ever Artist in Residence, Amy J. Schultz, will be exhibiting her original photography and mixed media installations that take an all-new look at homecoming mums as a uniquely Texas tradition. Exhibition dates are September 26th- November 24th, 2019.
Time: August 8th, 7-9 PM
Place: The Arlington Museum of Art in the basement
